MUDA (waste)

WHAT MUDA MEANS?

-Every process element that does not create value on product.

Muda means waste it can categorize by seven different types.

Elements of MUDA-

·         DEFECTS

·         INVENTORY

·         PROCESS

·         MOTION

·         OVERPRODUCTION

·         WAITING

·         TRANSPORTATION

MURA (unbalance)

It refers to fluctuation, variation, irregularity of the workload.

Causes of MURA- Non-standardization of demand through methods used to balance peaks and valleys.

MURI (overload)

Pushing the machine and operator beyond the technical limits usually produced unnatural condition and it produces the safety risk, quality problems which cause the fault and defects.
